Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE LAMB fan, and if I had my way, I'd wear LAMB every day (and practically do), for every occasion. These shoes, as most other LAMB's, are totally original and insanely hot. However, a couple of points worth mentioning if you're itching to buy them: 1) The woven leather appears to be glued v. stitched into the structure of the shoe, and can come loose fairly easily. When I opened the box and tried on the left shoe, I was extremely disappointed to see that one of the knotted pieces was already disconnected from the leather vamp (over the top of the foot), so this tells me this could be a recurring issue with craftsmanship which might require ongoing repair. Also, a quick look at the sole of the shoe reveals that the knotted pieces from the vamp/ball are glued in just above the super-thin leather sole, so I wouldn't even THINK of wearing these shoes without having the soles built up first to avoid unintentional fraying/wear; 2) The buckle on these shoes is a light gold color, NOT silver, as they appear in the photos. So if you're like me, and you wear only silver jewelry/accessories, the buckle issue alone might be a deal breaker, despite their fabulousness. Other than that, as far as comfort goes, the knotted leather is surprisingly soft and supple--the shoe feels like butter when you slip it on. Too bad the quality of construction doesn't quite warrant the price tag. SO sad I have to send them back. :(
