Native New Yorker Marc Jacobs began his design career in 1981 when he attended Parsons School of Design. On the evening that Marc Jacobs was showing his senior collection and receiving some of the school's highest honors, a fashion executive in the audience took immediate notice. The conversation that followed led to the creation of a partnership based on two very simple concepts: a love for fashion and a commitment to quality.
Two years later, Marc Jacobs ventured out and designed his first clothing collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label. In 1995, he launched his first full collection of men's ready-to-wear clothing. 2000 saw the launch of the first Marc Jacobs handbag collection.
In 2001, Marc Jacobs and his business partner, Robert Duffy, introduced their secondary collection, Marc by Marc Jacobs. It was established on the basis of providing a collection of comparatively affordable, edgy, and retro-inspired mass-market pieces. Since then, the collection has continued to grow exponentially to include Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags, Marc by Marc Jacobs jewelry, Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear, Marc by Marc Jacobs hair accessories, and Marc by Marc Jacobs watches.
Each season, the Marc by Marc Jacobs collections are created with the aim of providing quality shoes, handbags, accessories, eyewear and watches with high fashion designs incorporating the signature quirkiness and unique sense of style that Marc by Marc Jacobs has come to be known for.

I bought this classic Q Hillier Hobo in Raspberry. I love the style and it is very easy to carry. The color is beautiful. I wear a lot of black skirts and pants and I use my bag as color. I also have the same bag in yellow which I also love. Bags and shoes are my thing. If you want this bag, buy it. Our life is not a dress rehearsal, this is it. If you can, buy and enjoy! The leather is beautiful.

I love this bag! The leather is wonderful. I have the larger one in Chambray which is also beautiful. Whenever I use this bag I always get compliments on it. The color is great and goes with a lot of things. I've never owned a Marc I didn't love!

I couldn't make up my mind about ordering this bag. I was going back and forth between a Frye bag and this MBMJ. I decided this bag would be more timeless and work through all seasons. So cute. The straps are kind of awkward at first. I think once the bag gets a bit broken in they will lie more seamlessly. The leather is so lovely and soft. Not crazy about the gold hardware as I prefer silver but it's really a beautiful bag. I got the Fudge color which is this rich dark brown. A really beautiful bag and the perfect size for lugging around a bunch of stuff all day!

Best bag I've ever bought! It's expensive, I'll admit it, but it's so worth it! I debated about this bag for a year before I got it and I wish I would have got it sooner. So slouchy and comfortable to hold (if that makes sense). The leather is durable and feels great - I'm rough with my bags so if it's survived 4 months its a good bag. I've gotten it soaked in the rain and it's held up beautifully. I highly recommend this one. I've already decided once I'm done with this one I'll be sure to get another one from the same brand! Well worth the money in my opinion!

Love this bag! Enough room for my huge wallet, keys, glasses and lipsticks. I usually have my LV Speedy 30 or my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB and the style and comfort of this purse is awesome. I'm a full time student so I never have a free hand so the longer strap works well with any outfit, even my scrubs!! I will be purchasing this in other colors for sure.
