In humble fashion, Jack Spade bags began in a warehouse on Warren Street in 1996. It grew out of an idea that bags could be both utilitarian and stylish. Jack Spade bags were first made with waxed fabric and heavy canvas for a few friends. Over time, they received feedback, made changes, and developed a straightforward collection of Jack Spade bags and wallets. The shapes of Jack Spade bags range from totes and messengers to briefcases and travel bags.
In 2009, Jack Spade bags and wallets built on their reputation for quality and function by adding Jack Spade clothing to its arsenal. Beginning with high quality polo shirts, Jack Spade clothing now offers sweaters, coats, parkas, hoodies, pants and shorts.
Jack Spade studies what people wear and carry in their vocations; photographers and masons, land surveyors and architects, carpenters and writers. From these observations, Jack Spade designs bags, wallets and clothing that offer functionality, age well and retain a sense of style.

Bought this (in addition to several other caryyall cases for him to choose from) for my boyfriends birthday. This one was clearly the winner. The materials and overall look far exceed that of the other Jack Spade cases.
