From the flash bulb frenzy of the red carpet to the clicking heels on Wall Street, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes are everywhere. Couture caught up with shoe designer du jour, Giuseppe Zanotti to find out what we need for Fall and how he does what he does so well.

Q. What are five things you can not live without?

A. My sons, shoes, music, photos/memories and my craziness.

Q. What three styles of shoes should a woman have in her closet at all times?

A. A Giuseppe Zanotti evening shoe with retro jewels, a Zanotti flat for everyday use and a Zanotti trendy pump of the moment.

Q. Who is your shoe muse?

A. I am inspired by many women in Hollywood, music and society, however my muse is and always will be my beautiful wife Cinzia.

Q. Describe your creative process for designing a collection (i.e. visuals, music, etc...)

A. First I am inspired by the woman, then by my travels and always with the influence of music. With all of this I must translate the sensibility of the woman with the sensibility of my designs and thoughts. I also consider style and comfort of course!

Q. Your shoes are highly coveted from Hollywood to Wall Street, why do you think that is?

A. Hollywood is a dream, sometimes Wall street is surreal and in between lies the Zanotti woman. There is a Zanotti woman in every woman.

Q. Zanotti shoes are often described as sexy, fashionable shoes. How much fashion influence, sex appeal and fantasy goes into a design?

A. When I design shoes I am aware of fashion but more so how it will appeal and apply to the women who wear them. I am creating shoes to empower women and my hope is that women have fun and feel sexy in Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.
