I love this rain boot! At first I went with the original Hunter gloss; however, I have pretty muscular calves and those were too tight. I exchanged them for this boot and am pleasantly pleased. I usually wear a size 8 1/2, but like to get size 9 in boots. This did not feel like a size 9 (39). It feels a bit smaller, so I would recommend going a size up. They fit pretty snug around my calves, but much more comfortable than the Hunter boots felt. They look exactly like they do in the picture. They also make my feet look small, which I love! I also have wide feet and these boots have great support. I am hoping they are durable enough to wear in the winter for when it snows.

These shoes are fabulous I was very satisfied with my purchase. Although they are a hassle to put on and take off they are overall exquisite.

I found the boots to be very cute and comfortable, but what I didn't like was that were you see the fabric part it tends to fall down because it's not stiff. Unfortunately they are going back. :(

The shaft on these is absolutely not 17". My calves are about 15½" -- for reference, I can wear Hunters, but they are tight, and I cannot tuck jeans or pants into them. In contrast, I have other 17" calf boots that I can tuck jeans into very comfortably. These feel a lot more like the Hunters to me. I can barely get them over my calf and definitely cannot tuck anything in there. They are going back. Beware, wide-calved ladies.
